Welcome to Becky!---- Hello fellow Wikipedians, my name is Becky & I'm brand new to Wikipedia. I'm basically using wikipedia for a college course [[1]]-but it seems to be fun and useful too!

About Becky---- Some things you should know about me-other than what you can already figure out from my Babel'ng below. I LOVE anything British-the BBC just makes my day. I'm a fan of British tv shows like My Family & Footballers' Wives. I feel like even though this is a strange addiction, its a healthy one at the very least. :) I'm kind of a big language nerd-I love LATIN a lot! I have the first Harry Potter book in Latin-and its cool to try and read. I know everyone says that Latin is a dead language, but c'mon, so many modern languages came from Latin-so no one will convince me otherwise that Latin is "dead."

Slight Obsessions---- I'm OBSESSED with Jamie Cullum (who is also British) [2]] He's an amazing pianist-and he's FUN. He'll dance on his piano, drink on stage, and he's a REAL crowd pleaser. You could say that 2006 has been my suedo "Stalking Jamie Cullum" tour. Come Sept 26th, I'll have seen him four time just this year (St. Louis, Lake Tahoe, Nashville, St. Louis). Jamie Cullum drinks a can of Guinness at nearly every show, and he basically got me hooked on it! I'm sure my professor reading this thinks I'm absolutely nuts-but that's what makes me fun! My roommate Jackie and I have a slight condition called "We must watch Flavor of Love on VH1 every night-it is by far the most RIDICULOUS show on the planet, however, something about it just draws me in-it reminds me of when I thought Beavis & Butthead was cool. Years from now I'll look back on Flavor of Love like I do Beavis & Butthead now. But ah, memories! I really really really have a thing about Albert Einstein-something about the man just intrigues me-I feel like maybe I'm related to him-although the genius genes seem to have swam away from my side of the gene pool. Albert Einstein is the person I would want to meet most, dead or alive, at that dinner party people are always talking about! If you haven't noticed, I've got a really different sense of humor-but I was class clown in high school, so I figure its gotten me somewhere-or at least somewhat recognized! :)

What Keeps Me Going!

I'm really involved at my college. My main priorities are my service sorority, Tau Lambda Sigma ([3]]) & Student Senate ([[4]]). I keep busy being involved in extracurricular, rather than academics-sometimes it takes it toll, but I'd rather look back on college and remember really rewarding experiences from my organizations and classes, rather than if I got A's or B's.

I LOVE WIKIPEDIA...I'm a little afraid I'm going to get obsessed with this too....especially with the Babel boxes!!! Not gonna lie, this is a really fun assignment so far!

I'm kind of pissed that Pluto has been demoted to a "dwarf" planet. I'm not really sure why it exactly matters (I'm sure thre are people out there who care a lot and have good reason), but it totally screws up the MVEMJSUNP acronym.
