I (Mike Lyons) am an assistant professor at Saint Joseph's University where I teach media studies courses. My dissertation looked at Wikipedia as a form of journalism and addresses things like bias, sourcing and censorship in current events articles.
I have worked as a journalist in the former Soviet Union, the Czech Republic, the British Virgin Islands, Homer, Alaska and my home town of Williamsport, Pennsylvania. I am interested in the editing process on Wikipedia and how the site might serve as a form of journalism in the broadest sense of that word.
