Introduction

I am a upper junior at York college . I have an associate in Business Administration and transferred to York college in 2012 to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Business. I am currently taking an I/O Psychology 253 class with Professor Dr. Ashton.

I/O Psychology Class 253

Wikipedia will be one of the main aspects of the I/O Psychology 253 course with Dr. Ashton. For this course we will be using our wikipedia I/O Psychology 253 page with a list of assignments to be done. By the end of the course I hope to have learned and better understand:

• The connection of wikipedia and I/O Psychology
• The connection between I/O Psychology and Business
• How I/O Psychology plays a role in society

Wikipedia

With Wikipedia being the main aspect of my I/O Psychology 253 course I have already learned some interesting information. We recently watched a YouTube video Why Wikipedians are the Weirdest People on the Internet[2] in class. It had some interesting facts:

1. The great people who run Wikipedia are all volunteers.
2. No one has anymore power over another person, even if you are the founder of the site.
3. People Wikipedians are the ones who contributes their knowledge and gives information by editing.
4. On Wikipedia People Wikipedians have edit wars due to disagreements or cause they're nuts.

The list goes on, but the best one of it all it's free!
