Flinders Technology Associates (FTA) paper is a collection and storage technique used in DNA analysis and forensic DNA profiling. The filter paper allows for the transportation and long term storage of DNA samples at room temperature without any additional requirements. The ease at which samples can be stored and processed makes them particularly useful in high-throughput forensic laboratories. The use of FTA paper in biology and forensic related fields has been well tested and accepted by the scientific community.
