Biography

Born in Cork, Ireland, O’Sullivan completed his degree at University College Cork, then traveled extensively. He currently resides in New Zealand, where he operates Irish Imbas Books, a publishing and production company. Despite living abroad, O’Sullivan maintains a strong connection to Ireland, returning regularly.

His fiction is deeply embedded with elements of Irish culture, language, history, and mythology, ranging from literary short stories to mystery thrillers and contemporary takes on ancient Irish legends.

Career

O’Sullivan achieved notable success with his novel FIONN: Defence of Ráth Bládhma, which was a finalist in the SPFBO competition and became an international bestseller. His LIATH LUACHRA series, featuring a traumatized woman warrior, was optioned for a television series in 2021.

In addition to his writing, O’Sullivan provides cultural consultancy to game designers and film and television producers, offering insights into Irish culture.
