Siqokoqela Mphoko Siqokoqela Mphoko (born on the 7th of September 1978) is a Zimbabwean businessman at the helm of Nanavac Investments (Private) Limited trading as Choppies Zimbabwe and Partspanel Zimbabwe (Private) Limited trading as Motovac Zimbabwe.

Life and career

Siqokoqela was born and grew up in Bulawayo Zimbabwe. He pursued his further studies in Russia and the United States where he worked briefly before relocating to Botswana where his entrepreneurial spirit took hold and he went into business. He is outspoken in being apolitical and has passion for business development.

Business activities

Interested in entrepreneurship from an early age, Siqokoqela started his business career in Botswana in 2003 he set up a company called Parkview Investments in Botswana as its founder and President. The entity promoted and facilitated business opportunities for foreign-based organizations in the SADC region. In 2006, Mr. S. Mphoko co-founded a commodities broking firm called African Heritage. At its helm, he brokered significant transactions with leading global organizations in Europe and the West. In 2007, Mr. S. Mphoko joined an Asset Management company called Bifm Capital and was appointed Head of Business Development overseeing and controlling a mandate over 1.6 billion Pula in investment opportunities. Whilst at Bifm Capital, Mr. S. Mphoko and his group funded notable entities Botswana entities such as Choppies Botswana, BancABC Bank, CA Sales Distribution, to mention a few. From November, 2013, he established Choppies in Zimbabwe in which he is a Shareholder, Executive as well as Director on the Board. He is instrumental in spreading the Choppies Group investment in Southern African in its relentless expansion drive. In 2014 he was appointed a Board Member of Mpilo Central Hospital and in 2015 he became a shareholder and Director of Choppies Mozambique. Mr Mphoko is a shareholder in Motovac Zimbabwe in a similar model to that of Choppies and is equally instrumental in the spread of the organization across the Southern Africa region. He is fluent in seven languages comprising Ndebele, Shona, English, Setswana, Portuguese, Hungarian and German. He can read and write English, Portuguese and Hungarian.

Humanitarian activities

Siqokoqela and his wife Nomagugu Mphoko have both been involved in charity work since the launch of their business interests in Zimbabwe in 2013. He helps victims of natural disasters and the disadvantaged across Zimbabwe wherever his business interests are.
