Marcus (Marc) Wilson is a journalist, author and entrepreneur. He co-founded TownNews.com in 1989, and served as the company’s CEO until October 2016 when he became executive chairman. He is author of two books, Hero Street USA and Kidnapped by Columbus. Wilson worked for three daily newspapers in Colorado, the Denver Post, Rocky Mountain News and the Boulder Daily Camera. He worked for The Associated Press bureaus in Denver, Little Rock, Chicago, Boise and Chicago, where he was assistant chief of bureau. He was co-owner and editor of the Bigfork, Montana, Eagle for 14 years. He and his wife, Virginia, were named Master Editor Publishers by the Montana Newspaper Association. The Inland Press Association awarded Wilson the Ray Carlsen Distinguished Service award in 2015. He was Sigma Delta Chi’s outstanding graduate in journalism from the University of Colorado in 1973. He was born in Grand Island, Nebraska, in 1951.
