Markca is a handle for Mark Zhiha. Born at the Port Arthur General Hospital October 3rd, 1974 in Thunder Bay, ON. CA to parents Ian Zhiha and Valerie Tibbs.

Lived in the Current River area of town until 18 months old, then moved to Shipley St. in the north end. Spent perhaps 2 years there until moving to 389 Toledo St., a 3 bedroom bungalow adjacent to the Boulevard Lake forest.

Started school at Vance Champman Public School in the north end for Jr. kindergarden. If memory serves it was 1/2 day 5 days a week.

(More is finally here... information provided by the Jap Wizard)...

Mark attended Lakeview High School in 1989-90 where he established himself as a tremendous athlete and academic wunderkund. He established a legacy of epic proportions by defeating the great Alex "Beeker" Bleakley in a 100 meter sprint showdown during his tenure. What made this race so special was the fact that Alex had previously ran a self proclaimed best of 9.81 seconds. This amazing sprint time was second only to Ben "Cheetah" Johnson during this era. Alex showed up to the race in full gear complete with track shoes and all the related equipment. Mark was in classic 80's rocker style Reebok high tops - complete with untied laces and protruding tongue of course - as well as tight to the balls acid wash jeans, Motley Crue tee shirt and a partially finished cigarette in his mouth. The tension was great, but in the end Mark literally "smoked" his competitor and used his hard earned 5 dollars on his next pack of smokes and some Lick-A-Maid. After the race, Mark was elevated beyond the stratosphere as a totally gnarly dude of rockstar proportions.

Today, Mark is lost to many of his oldest friends. We hope he joins Facebook soon to find us and relive the glory!
