The Life and Times of Brill Eargasm[edit]

Tsebo Kutlwano Moletsane, popularly known as Brill Eargasm is a South African rapper and songwriter. He was born to parents Mr Khotso Moletsane and Mrs Palesa Moloto on 12 May 1998 after a 10-month pregnancy term. Brill lived in a working class community on the outskirts of Soweto known as Diepkloof, where he attended primary school at Ipolokeng Primary School and started writing at the age of 11, mostly inspired by his earliest Hip-Hop influences, Common and Drake and eventually found himself co-writing verses with his class mates and rapping them after school.

Shortly after graduating from primary school, he lived with his mother and step-father in a middle class community near Orange Farm, known as Palm Springs, until 2015 when he and his mother moved to Orange Farm due to her and her husband's seperation and attended high school at Masibambane College from 2012 to 2015 where he would later matriculate with a Bachelors later that year.

Within his first year at Masibambane College, he met his long-term friend and crew member, Slashy, and the duo wrote songs together for entertainment and would often perform them at events that the school was hosting and music competitions with their mentors and long-term friends Sandile Zwane and Sean Khumalo, later inducting Sentle, popularly known as Ner-V-reN into their circle. They continued on their path together until 2014, when Slashy left to stay Sharpeville. That year, Brill quit rap, stating that he "didn't have any inspiration anymore".

After matriculating from Masibambane College, in 2016, Brill went to live with his grandmother again in Diepkloof, studying a course in project management. It wasn't until later that year, that he met his producer, Gama Rayz and recorded his first song "Milk-Stained Toilet Paper", which was written for his female love interest and best friend. He presented it to her on her birthday as a present, but he didn't release it to the public until November 2016, simultaneously with a touching love song written for his mother, "Maserati Mom" Both songs were well-received by the public, each one garnering over 3000 downloads on datafilehost. The next year, on 3 January 2017, Brill released another heartfelt single titled "Brill FoReal" in which he talks about his challenges as a teenager and moving back to a place he last knew as a child, and trying to fit into a now new environment, his drive to become a well-respected musician, his failed attempts at romance his experiences with being a victim to armed robbery in Orange Farm and his uncle, who was imprisoned for armed robbery.

In June 2017, while studying a Bachelors of Business Administration at Rosebank Brill released his last single for the year titled "H.A.S." which is a more light-hearted trap song, compared to his first 3. It was well-received by the public, spreading across provinces all the way to Cape Town, and North West, but "Maserati Mom" remains his biggest and most well-loved song to date.
