Matt’s dedication to superior marine skills are demonstrated by 20 years of success on Lake Travis. In the early 1990’s, Matt served as Assistant Manager for Hurst Harbor Marina, handling day-to-day marina operations and rental fleet management. In 1997, Matt joined the United States Coast Guard ranked as – Boarding Officer, and eventually earned the US Coast Guard 9-11 Terrorist Attack -  Medal of Meritorious Service. After his tenure with the US Coast Guard, in 2004 Matt returned to Austin and became Manager of The Sandy Creek Marina and Yacht Club on Lake Travis, exceeding operational and performance goals. Matt is a US Coast Guard Certified master Licensed Captain, marine surveyer, ABYC certified tech, marine expert witness, graduate of Lake Travis High School, and attended the University of Phoenix. Matt is married to Nicholle, and they have a beautiful 12 year old child.
