I am a Roman Catholic, French Mauritian interested in contributing to the expansion of the History of Mauritius on Wikipedia in all its forms, from the very beginning of the discovery of the island until present day. Islands such as Saint Brandon, Agalega, Diego Garcia (The Chagos Archipelago) and Tromelin are always on my mind as is Rodrigues. I have a particular interest in the History of the sugar industry and its effects on Mauritius to this day. Immigration from France before and after the French Revolution is a special project. I try to follow and document on Wikipedia our larger than life islanders such as Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clézio, Jean-Raymond Boulle, Malcolm de Chazal, Stefan Hart De Keating, Raymonde de Kervern, Marcelle Lagesse because their lives contributed or are still contributing to the economic prosperity and social fabric of the island. They inspire Mauritians to be tolerant towards others and to protect the peace and successful multi-culturalism that has existed since independence.. The focus is France and French culture but with a very strong English tinge. I do not get paid to make my contributions to Wikipedia.
