Joel Araujo Figueroa (nacido el 11 de Junio de 1987), [3] conocido por su nombre artístico, MC Manny, es un reguetonero Dominicano y cantante de trampa Dominicana, [4] ampliamente considerado como el artista de reggaetón más destacado de su generación, así como también como uno de los artistas urbanos más exitosos en general, habiendo lanzado muchos éxitos como "Dos via", "Ni te Moleste", "Tu Ere Duro", "Se Armo El Jangueo", "Efectivo", "Error De Padre", "Date"y" 8 Minutos", A MC Manny también se le atribuye el haber comenzado un nuevo movimiento en la escena del reggaetón y darle popularidad al género de trampa, Hip Hop.

Early life[edit]

Mc Manny was born in San Cristobal, República Dominicana to a Dominican father and a Dominican mother. As stated in the my petete song from his album Confio en mi, He grew up in a poor sector and was raised by his parents, which worked as a merchant.Throughout the 2007s decade and during his college career in Santo Domingo, R.D, he found great inspiration for his musical career.

Beginnings[edit]

Mc Manny started writing songs at age 18. He made his debut with freestyle in his locality in 2012 broke with the song "Date".

In 2014, Without signing a recording contract he began to publish his songs on YouTube. In that same year, he began his current popular streak with the song "En la Calle Hay Dema", This song was a great success although he did not sound on the radio enough he could get to the great part of santo domingo, and finally it was good known Since then he has performed at many shows in the Dominican Republic. Rise to Fame[edit]

In early 2016, Mc Manny has been recognized for his appearance on the single Reformatorio 28 , a collaboration with DJ Julian, Junior Pley, Royer LA Z and MJ Urbano. The single reached number 22 in the box Red Carpet Awards S.C. In September, McManny released the track Arg El Jangueo , featuring Jesus Manuel. In September of the same year, it has been the most popular single to date, Se Armo El Jangueo , which earned him a place at number 8 in the [Red Carpet Awards S.C (magazine) | Red Carpet Awards S.C]] lists at the end of the year. Mc Manny is part of the new wave of urban singers that leaves the Dominican Republic, and has a deep friendship with the controversial rapper El Nuevo Padrino.
