Meredith Sattler is an Assistant Professor of Sustainable Architecture at Louisiana State University. She holds a Masters of Architecture and a Masters of Environmental Management from Yale University and a Bachelor of Arts from Vassar College. She is a registered LEED AP. Trained as an architect, an environmentalist, and an artist, she explores sustainability as it redefines spatial and temporal relationships between humans, constructed technologies, and the natural environment from historical and multidisciplinary perspectives. Her interests include re-conceptualizing boundaries (particularly the building envelope) as technological mediators between humans and the natural environment, re-strategizing buildings, infrastructures and socio-ecological systems as service providers through the lenses of optimization, emergence and consumption, and communicating the complex story of sustainability through multiple modes of representation.
