Michael Hage is the President and Owner of Mike Hage Distinctive Concrete & Masonry in the Minneapolis and St. Paul areas of Minnesota. Hage’s grandfather Orville started his own company in 1930 after realizing the need for a quality oriented concrete contractor. Orville’s son Oliver took over Hage Construction Company in 1966, and later changed the name to Hage Concrete Works. Michael took an interest in the concrete business at a early age and frequently went out estimating with his grandfather. By the age of 12, Michael was spending his summers working and learning more about concrete. He continued this until graduating from high school, at which point he began working full time as a job foreman. He continued working along side his father until 2006. After a few turbulent years prior to 2006, Michael departed from the family business after 26 years; citing irreconcilable differences with his father. On August 28th 2006, Michael created Mike Hage Distinctive Concrete & Masonry. Originally operating out of his home in Edina, Mn., the company grew and opened a showroom and office in Eden Prairie, MN. in 2008. In 2012, the operations moved to a new larger facility nearby, where it it remains today. Michael continues his Grandfather’s legacy with an unending passion and uncompromising dedication to supplying the best looking and longest lasting concrete available.
