User:Mike Cline/USCAN Working Group Drafts/Phase I Task Forces/E-Key Wikipedia Projects/Meeting II

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Our group has initiated a process for gathering information about activity within various WikiProjects and how WikiProjects have previously interacted with the Education Program. Once we understand this activity and its intensity, we will prioritize WikiProjects for outreach. We will need to understand the direction the Working Group is taking before we begin reaching out to WikiProjects to enlist their support. We are on track for meeting our goal by November 30. --Jgmikulay (talk) 17:04, 17 September 2012 (UTC)

Jenny has summed it up nicely. This task force is still in research stage. A draft talk page notice for WikiProjects is still to be drafted; its content will be decided by a more focused mission statement following the Chicago meeting. A useful side project of this task force is to analyze successful WikiProjects (projects with high participation levels, good collaboration) and determine what makes them successful. These lessons can be used to augment the new education group. The Interior (Talk) 18:26, 18 September 2012 (UTC)
