Notes:
  1. ^ Manchester City were banned from all UEFA club competitions for the 2020–21 and 2021–22 seasons by the UEFA Club Financial Control Body on 14 February 2020 due to breaches of the UEFA Financial Fair Play Regulations.[1] The decision was appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) on 26 February 2020.[2]
  2. ^ Since the winners of the EFL Cup, Manchester City, are banned from European football for next season (subject to an ongoing appeal process at CAS), the spot given to the EFL Cup winners (Europa League second qualifying round) would be passed to the seventh-placed team.
