George Henry Doughty (17th May 1911 - 25th June 1998) was a British Trade Union Leader

Early life and school
Born in Birmingham to parents George Doughty (1884) and Selina Francis Ellis (1890). Educated at Brookfields School, Handsworth Technical School, Aston Technical College.

Personal Life
George married Mildred Dawson in 1941 and they had 2 sons, Royston and Peter.
He was awarded a TUC gold Badge at the Brighton Congress in 1974.
He declined a Knighthood in the 1975 New Years Honours list (FOI 316126)[[1]]
