James Andrew McCann, II (born January 7, 1974) is an American comic book writer and currently a PR and Marketing consultant at Marvel. He is a writer of comic books, theater & television. After winning the BEST WRITER award in 1994 at Xavier University for his play Maire’s Question, Jim graduated in 1996 with BA in Communication Arts, Electronic Media as well as a double minor in English & Theatre. He worked on several films and music videos before entering the ABC Daytime Writer Development Program, during which time he wrote for the popular ABC daytime drama One Life to Live. He also co-founded the Nashville Theatre Company, for which he directed many plays and served as Artistic Director from 2000-2004.

Upon moving to New York city from his native Nashville, TN, in 2004, Jim found a position at Marvel comics. He deals with publicity and PR for publishing as consultant as well as handles press and panels at conventions.

Recently, he has returned to his writing roots, writing for Marvel comics, creator-owned graphic novels, and other upcoming projects. Jim currently resides in New York City.
