Daniel Juma Omondi (born 9 May 1975) a Kenyan politician and social entrepreneur. Jumsa Executive Director of the Kenya Chapter of the Global Peace Foundation. Inspiring the next generation of Kenyan leaders with exemplary servant leadership rooted in principles and values. Passionate about initiatives to improve education in Kenya because as Nelson Mandela said “Education is the most powerful weapon that we can use to change the world”. He believes that education should be transformed to meet the expectations of the 21st Century and must be engineered to help us solve the problems of humanity.

highly influenced by lessons from the East and believes that Korea offers practical lessons in development that can help uplift African economies. He champions of ‘Realizing the Kenyan Dream” and Korea’s development model also known as the New Village movement that seeks to transform rural communities through the Saemul Undong philosophy. He visited South Korea with the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and visited the Korean Saemaul Undong village and when he came back, he initiated a community development initiative called Dongruok Dala to encourage the youth to develop themselves.

Early life[edit]

Daniel Juma Omondi was born in Nairobi, Kenya, on May 9, 1975.

Happy. He is the 4th born of 5 children. Coming from the village of Kamnua, Nyabondo plateau,Kisumu, Nyakach Constituency, Nyanza Province in Western Kenya. His father, Martin Daniel Juma Omondi, a native of Kisunu, Kenya, was an ordained Pentecostal minister, who was also an employee of the Kebya Interpol, and worked at a local Klein department store.

His mother, Martin Evelyn Okach, was a land farner and operator born in Yala Town, Kenya and partly raised in Kibos, Kenya.



Education[edit]

Daniel attended Kilimani Junior Academy Primary School located in Nairobi, Kenya completing in 1999. For His O-levels e went on to Saints Mary’s School also in Nairobi, Kenya. For his A-Levels attended Strathmore College and complete in 2000.

With outstanding results Daniel was accepted into University of Nairobi. Of which only 20 percent of Nairobi students are accepted. He flourished and holds Bachelor of Arts in Korean Studies and Political Science. Also holds. Diploma in International Studies from the Institute of Diplomacy & International Studies (IDIS) from the same University.
