         The family is based in a small town in the state of New York, Tully. The family is responsible the creation of the ski resort in the town by the name of Song Mountain. The family has since sold that asset for some ten million dollars. The family’s first fortunes came from World War II with soilders coming back from war and looking to expand their families. Thus the Chapman Lumber Company was founded and developed many homes in and around the current Syracuse area. By then the family had amassed a some fifty million dollar fortune. The Chapman’s still reside in the town of Tully in their lavish estate on Crooked Lake. The Chapman family still holds majority shares of many major companies.
