Alessandro Capone (Linguist)[edit]

Alessandro Capone (was born in 14 August 1965) is full professor of general linguistics  at the University of Messina in the Department of Cognitive Science. He has obtained his doctorate degree at the University of Oxford under the supervision of James Higginbotham and Yan Huang. He is chief editor of the Springer series Perspectives in Pragmatics, Philosophy, Psychology[1]. Alessandro's monograph on indirect reports has been published in volume 8 of this series, entitled The Pragmatics of Indirect Reports. Socio-philosophical Considerations (2016)[2]. His publications have appeared in Lingua[3], Journal of Pragmatics, Intercultural Pragmatics[4], Australian Journal of Linguistics[5], and others[6].
