Abel Muzoora is a seasoned development professional passionate about health, economic growth, and biodiversity. He attended secondary school at St Henry's College, Kitovu and holds a Master’s degree in Statistics and Population from Makerere University.

Professional Experience Muzoora has extensive experience in monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) across various sectors. He has worked with prominent organizations such as RTI International, Abt Global,JSI,and Amref Africa contributing to the success of numerous health systems strengthening projects. His work has spanned several areas, including:

Health Systems Strengthening: Muzoora has played a crucial role in improving health supply chains and ensuring the delivery of life-saving medicines to communities. His efforts have significantly impacted the prevention and treatment of HIV and other infectious diseases, as well as expanding access to immunization programs. Nutrition and Food Security: As part of the Uganda Nutrition Action Plan (UNAP), Muzoora has been instrumental in priority setting and funding processes to reduce malnutrition. His contributions have strengthened the enabling environment for nutrition action in Uganda, advocating for sustainable structures and coordination among stakeholders. Socioeconomic Development: Muzoora's work emphasizes the importance of integrating behavioral thinking into development initiatives. He has supported women, children, and youth through high-quality health services and evidence-based education programs, aiming to improve their quality of life and socioeconomic opportunities. Pan-Africanism and Community Engagement Muzoora is a dedicated pan-Africanist, committed to promoting sustainable development and community-driven initiatives across the continent. He believes in the power of local partnerships, private sector engagement, and the importance of inclusive development to achieve long-term sustainability.

Personal Life Muzoora is married to Doreen Busingye and is a father of three children. He also serves as the Speaker of the Baboopi clan of Tooro, showcasing his leadership within his community.
