Username & Introduction
[edit]Hello fellow Wiki enthusiasts, and everyone else who decided to view my page:
Since I have always liked working with computers and am currently studying computer science, I go by the username of “My Jalopy Computer”.
The word, “jalopy” is usually referred to as an old and junk car, but I figured I would use it to make it kind of comical by describing my computer as “old” and a piece of “junk”.
(Besides, I think jalopy is a funny sounding word.)
Why I Joined Wiki:
[edit]- I think it will be an interesting experience to get to know how this group works.
- To know how I can improve my writing.
- To become a better writer.
- Make a contribution to a variety of topics.
- Potentially help others with articles.
- I want to not only learn about community itself, but the dynamics of it.
Computer reasons-
[edit]- To get to learn a bit about programming just by joining the Wikipedia website and dappling with the sandbox.
Contributions:
[edit]I will be contributing to some conversations about computers, technology, other various topics, etc. and I want to know how people will edit it and give me more information about it.
Overall, I think Wikipedia will be a great experience to learn what genuinely good people can do just by writing and correcting articles.
-Previous update (6/10/19): I am thinking on contributing in the following category types and pages:
(Technology): IEEE 802.11ax standard
(Mental Health): Bipolar II disorder
(Skin Disease): Seborrhoeic dermatitis
(Scary Stories): Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark
(Medicine): Medical cannabis
Current update (6/19): I will be making my first contribution on the article, CDP Spoofing. I want to help this stub article out.
Quotes:
[edit]My favorite fun quote:
[edit]From the Spongebob episode: "Graveyard Shift"
"Wait, if that was you on the phone and you on the bus, then who was flickering the lights?"..."Nosferatu!"[1]
