Michael Reyes (born February 12, 1975), known professionally as Hi-Jakkk is a Filipino musician known as one of the pioneers of underground hip hop in the Philippines in the early 90s. He is a respected rapper, record producer, entrepreneur, designer and founder of several merchandise and local streetwear. Throughout his career, his clear and distinct story-telling flow made him one of the most popular and successful rappers of his generation.

Born and raised in Las Piñas City, Hijakkk first began his musical career in the 1993; he collaborated with several local artists and joined Death Threat; a local rap group in 1995. The following year he released his debut studio album “Death Threat Wanted” to widespread critical success and solidified his standing in the music industry. He went on to release seven additional albums including the 1997 four times platinum record award “Kings of da Underground”, two times platinum record award “Domination II”, two times platinum record award “Domination II”, gold record award “Tha Revelation”, “Tha Unexpected” and his solo album “It only comez down 2 1” a certified two times platinum record award. He also released collaborative musical scores and soundtrack on hit movies 1999 Wang-Bu and 2001 Warat and collaborations with the likes of king of rap, Andrew E. alternative rock king Ely Buendia and master rapper Francis M.

He founded the clothing retailer Teflon Don Clothing and in 2004, he established Hi-Jakkk Productions which aims to help talented new blood in the Filipino rap scene. In 2009, Hi-Jakkk chose to pursue the business processing industry and became co-owner of one of the pioneers of administrative services, VCBS. With his family, he expanded his business concentrating mainly in hospitality and lodging. Hi-Jakkk is recognized as part of Dongalo Wreckords, one of the most famous hip hop movements in the Philippines founded by Andrew E. A certified hitmaker, his “Last Song” is regarded as one of the most unconventional and soulful contributions in the Philippine hip hop genre spanning three decades of local and underground airtime.
