Article Review

[edit]

I visited The Weeknd’s page on Wikipedia, and found two aspects of it worth commenting on: his musical successes and legal issues.

Musical Achievements

[edit]

The Weeknd, also known as Abel Tesfaye, has improved so much on his singing career. His successes since his first mixtape in 2010, House of Balloons, has brought him from just a random youtuber to someone showing up on the red carpet at the oscars. Building on to his career, he created Trilogy and Kissland when he signed with Republic Records. Trilogy sold a total of 86,000 in one week and Kissland sold 96,000 in one week as well. But it’s quite interesting how they layout his rewards in just one sentence. The header of this part of the article is “Awards and Nominations” but do not state his nominations. I believe that this should show his nominations and expand more on his awards. The Weeknd deserves more love on his achievements as an artist, considering how exciting those achievements are.

[edit]

As I continue on reading this article, his legal issues left me with so many questions. This part of the article had just two sentences with no information all about why or what exactly happened. I believe expanding on this fact would make this page better, it may make Abel look bad considering there is no reason listed for why Abel punched a cop. Surprisingly, there is not information about what community service he has done.

Summary

[edit]

Overall, I would rate this page on a scale of one through five, I would give this page a four. Everything about this page made The Weeknd look so good with how had he worked for his career and his incredible achievements; besides not listing his nominations (even if he didn’t win them, it makes him look like an outstanding artist for even making it as a nominee). This page is a great page for The Weeknd. Mylanieann (talk) 06:22, 22 April 2017 (UTC)
