Sangita Shrestha (born 16 October 1976) is a Nepalese film director, screenwriter and media person. [1] [2] [3]
Education[edit]
She completed her primary education from M.M School, Biratnagar and further education of Intermediate in Commerce from Mahendra Morang Campus, Biratnagar.
Career[edit]
She started her career as an Radio Jockey (RJ), then later became a Video Jockey at Image Channel from 2000-2004 and Kantipur Television since 2004. She has directed 70+ popular music videos and series of short films during her career.[4] [5]She's also known for her short films series Katha Premka.[6] She started her career as a writer in her late 30s with her debut book Kathama Aljhiyeka Prem in 2016.[7] She appeared as a member of jury in Miss Nepal 2016. [8] Later in 2018 she came with her featured film Katha Kathmandu as a Director/Writer. This movie was based on hidden truth of Kathmandu city including domestic violence. The movie was surrounded by three words and they were Love, lust and life.[9]
