Reliability + usefulness of source based on:

1) Scholarship (author's background, where source was published, is info within source independently verifiable):

• Source is found on BBC news website (US and Canada)
• Unknown author
• Source explains a TV interview about the artist speaking publicly about being sexually assaulted at 19 and how it led to her suffering with PTSD
  • Artist revealing secret --> TV interview --> BBC article (independently verifiable)

2) Context (age of source relative to topic, intent of information, targeted audience):

• The BBC news article was last edited 6 December 2016
• Article includes a link to the TV interview revealing sexual assault of the artist, which was published Dec 6 2016
  • Date of source published is relative to news/topic at the time
• Purpose of releasing information --> informing audience of recently discovered information about Lady Gaga
  • However, Gaga's news targeted the homeless lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender teenagers living in the Ali Forney Centre (NY). Gaga explained to them that her trauma allowed her to understand others --> inspiration to all, especially in the LGBT community
• Inspiration to LGBT community, however the general public can also be stated as the targeted audience --> BBC news is a world-known source
