So, I suppose that this user page is where we are expected to divulge information about ourselves. This is my first time even attempting to do more with Wikipedia than reading the articles, so I would beg your patience. I will attempt to put into writing any relevant information about myself and what sort of user I will be.

About Me

I'm a current student at Carleton College, where I plan on majoring in English and Music. Those are the areas I'm most passionate about, but I have a fairly wide spectrum of interests. I'm involved in everything from Parliamentary Debate to a cappella to the Science Fiction and Fantasy Alliance to Social Dance. I welcome anyone who might want to contact me, but I am busier than should be possible, so whether I'll get back to you is up in the air.

What is my interest in Wikipedia?

I have long visited this site to find quick and concise information on a range of subjects. Being a current student, Wikipedia has provided me with highly valuable information and an educational procrastination tool, both of which I am grateful for. I have found it helpful and feel that it has been extremely successful in its endeavors. Thus, I wish to help it continue to be a good source. I believe that I have enough knowledge and skill with words to contribute.

What sort of user will I be?

I doubt that I will be an entirely frequent user, given that I'm very busy with activities of my own. When I see errors or room for improvement in a subject I'm familiar with, however, I will log in and offer an edit. I'm here to learn and grow, and I enjoy civility and productive debate, so I'm not interested on personal attacks, trolls, or flame wars.

Conclusion

Mostly, I want to be a part of Wikipedia because I value knowledge. I hope to also gain some experience working within a website format. I'm generally a nice person, and I will try to keep my edits civil. I thank anyone who has taken the time to read my rambling, and hope that anyone who disagrees with an edit of mine will contact me.
