Natasa Jacobs is an America cartoonist and writer. She is a transgender woman, and known for her weekly manga webcomic Lavender, which draws upon her experiences as a trans girl and woman. She is an activist in the transgender rights movement. She became a vegetarian in 2008 and a vegan in 2019 do to animal abuse.
Early life[edit]
Jacobs grew up in Minnesota, near Minneapolis. She worked as a paraprofessional, for children with special needs and transgender youth.
Career[edit]
Jacobs is the author and illustrator of Lavender, a webcomic that features the character Lavender (Of the same name), a trans girl discovering and embracing her gender, deal with transphobia and friendship. Jacobs has written several books about gender identity, but has only published them online on transgender friendly websites. She does plan to publish them and Lavender as a physical copy in the near future.
