Zaydaan Hamid (born 18 May 2003) is footballer who plays as a Midfielder for Celtic. He started his football career at Sittingbourne Athletic, 2014.

 

 

Early life[edit]

He was born in 2003 in Motherwell, Scotland. His parents were born in England, father and  Pakistan, mother. His family moved South to England, to Ashford in Kent, when he was three years old. Hamid, Iwade Primary School in Kemsley.[2][3] 

Club career[edit]

At age of 5, Zaydaan played for his father’s local team, every Saturday. Hamid started playing football for Sittingbourne Athletic FC at the age of 11. 5 weeks after joining the club, Zaydaan left the club. He reportedly wanted to ‘carry on with studies’. 3 years later, Hamid joined Celtic aged 14 in 2017. On 5 October 2017, he made is debut for the U15 for a cup clash against rivals Rangers FC. The score finished Celtic 3 – 1 Rangers.  

On 14 October 2017 Hamid signed a youth registration contract to stay at Celtic. 

Personal life[edit]

Zaydaan has an older sister, Lina Hamid 18. At the age of 4, he met childhood friend Joe Mudagaza, 14, winger at Sittingbourne FC. Now, friends with Karamoko Dembele in U15 Celtic.[1]
