User:Nickshanks/List of stellar angular diameters
Appearance
Following is a list of stellar angular diameters. In astronomy the sizes of stars are often given in terms of their angular diameter as seen from Earth, rather than their actual sizes. Since these angular diameters are typically small, it is common to present them in arcseconds.
Star | Angular Diameter |
---|---|
R Doradus | 0.054" ± 0.005" (1250 nm) [1] (855 nm) |
Betelgeuse | 0.054" (720 nm) [2] 0.265" ± 0.005" (400 nm) [3] |
Aldebaran | 0.021" |
