Eefundja in Ovambuland(north), it has been a major issue in Namibia mostly during the rainy season.Eefundja means "flood" in english. The flood or Eefundja always bring major suprises or suffering in the northern part of Namibia, due to the fact that it destroy hauses and road and many infrastructures in the northern part of Namibia mainly in oshakati and Ondangwa.

The flood is caused by the heavy rain that happens in the northern part of Namibia and due to the fact that there is too many open area, and that the government didnt build up dams were all the water or running water can to. Various access roads to and from Oshakati, which includes the main road from Ondangwa and to Ruacana, have either been damaged or in some cases washed away. Like the conditions of the 2009 flood, bridges and other infrastructure such as sewerage systems are under water or seriously damaged.The official death toll stands at 62. Ninety-two Namibians were killed in the April floods of 2009 and the infrastructure suffered severe damage.
