A couple of issues from the great recession that I am researching and hope to write on:

CHARLES SCHWAB YIELDPLUS FUND (3rd largest loss of wealth behind Madoff and Stanford?) The existing Schwab wiki down plays this fiasco and it should not be forgotten.

Reserve Fund/Bruce Bent which should also include the TD Ameritrade reserve yield plus fund. I particular I am looking for documentation that Reserve paid TD and other brokers for using their funds. While this was probably the reason why brokers used Reserve Funds, it would be nice to prove. Also why did Bent take on so much risk after years of being a critic of such - was he forced to juice his money fund yields?
