I was born in England but have lived in Australia for over 40 years.

I have done many different jobs in a variety of occupations, for public and private organisations and in various countries. Predominantly, my career has been in education and libraries. My last position with an organisation was as the Manager of Library Services for the Toowoomba & Darling Downs District Health Service in Queensland, Australia.

Since leaving Queensland Health at the end of 2012, I have worked in a self-employed capacity and mostly as a pro-bono consultant and mentor for library professionals and academics across the World, particularly the Majority World.

My qualifications include: Diploma of Teaching, Bachelor of Education, Master of Applied Science (Library & Information)

I have eclectic interests but am particularly interested in Mental Health, Alternative Education, Encouraging and assisting students and new professionals, English Language, Social justice and Human rights.

I have supported Wikipedia for many years and welcome discussion or comment, providing it is conducted in a calm, respectful and collaborative manner.
