Manakula Vinayagar Institute of Technology (Tamil: மணக்குள விநாயகர் இன்ஸ்டிட்யூட் ஆப் டெக்னாலஜி) (MVIT) established in 2008, with a view to provide quality Technical education to young aspirants. The institution is affiliated to the Pondicherry University and is approved by AICTE, New Delhi

Internet[edit]
Our college is having a 16 Mbps Internet connection, locally networked and connected through the central server is available for students for their preparing seminar presentations and project work.
Access to e-books, study materials, previous year question papers, teaching schedules, internal marks, attendance, daily circulars, etc. through the college Local Area Network. The facility is available to students 9am to 9pm
Library[edit]
Our library houses over 16000 books and 50 International and National Journals, magazines and online access to IEEE journals for the benefit of the students and staff members and it is working up to 6.30pm on all working days. It holds institutional membership in British council library and MALIBNET. Our Digital library facilitates student’s digital learning approach.
Training and Placement[edit]
The training and placement cell is committed to provide all possible assistance to the engineering & management graduates in their efforts to find employment. It is headed by Training and Placement Officer and is well supported by both faculties as well as student placement coordinators from various departments. The training and placement Cell facilitation at MIT is a year round activity to facilitate contacts between organizations and students. It assists in arranging pre-placement talks, written tests, group discussions, personal interviews, etc. Off-campus interviews are also arranged regularly. The training and placement cell also invites industry professionals to interact with students in order to identify the emerging opportunities in the corporate world.
Objective The Objective of our Placement Cell is to look for 100% employment of all the students. The Placement Cell of the college plans to organize various activities in the college, the most popular one being the ‘Campus Recruitment’ to provide our students with job opportunities.
Our Placement Cell is mainly responsible for establishing effective contacts with various organizations with a view to assisting the students in securing jobs & arranging interviews for the students. The Cell will also facilitate the selection process of students with potential employers; we cater to the needs of the students and aim to act as a bridge between the employer and the employee.
Our Mission The mission of our Training & Placement Cell is to help students clarify their educational and career goals as well as acquire employment-seeking skills and ultimately attain desired employment.

Transport[edit]
The Institution has got a fleet of buses to its credit and for the convenience of the day scholars and faculty members. A full fledged Transport department functions in the college with buses to provide transport facility to students and staff from various places. This service is offered ensuring a hassle-free and safe transportation. This student friendly facility has made it possible to begin the classes in time and thereby helping the academic process continue seamlessly. This has also enabled the College to drive home the importance of punctuality and discipline among students

The accommodation at MIT is a “Home away from home”. There are separate hostels available for boys and girls in the campus with all facilities for comfortable stay, study and recreation.

Our college has an excellent Two canteen with variety of foods items and snacks with excellent quality and hygiene.

Department of Physical Education is equipped with excellent indoor and outdoor facilities for the staff and students to encourage their participation to greater extents.

Spacious Air-Conditioned auditorium with the seating capacity of 400 is available in the college for conducting various programmes and functions like inaugurals, Training Programmes, Workshops, Value Added courses, Seminars Conferences, Guest Lectures, Group discussions are arranged regularly for the benefits of students and faculty members

Manakula Vinayagar Institute of Technology is situated within Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College and Hospital Campus. The college at Puducherry-Villupuram National Highway (NH45A) at Kalitheerthalkuppam, Madagadipet, 25 km west of Puducherry and 15 km east of Villupuram The nearest airport is Kamaraj International Terminal in Chennai (140 km). The nearest Railway station is Villupuram junction (15 km).

- Our college has bagged university gold medal and rank in MBA department for the academic year 2010-2011
- Many of our students creativity is proved by participating in Innovator 2012 conducted by confederation of Indian industry (CII)
- Won the over all championship trophy in BANQUEST ’14 organized by department of banking technology, Pondicherry University.
- Our students Mr. Dinesh participated in National Level Karate Competition conducted by AIKA and won the Gold Medal
- Our student Mr. Bhavan Raj Participated in National Level Power lifting Championship conducted by AIPLA and won the THIRD Place
- Our Student Mr. Napolean participated in National Level Table Tennis Competition conducted by AITTA and won Fourth Place
