Leivik (Leon) Chanukoff (February 3, 1893-September 24, 1958) was a Yiddish-language writer and sculptor.

Biography

Chanukoff was born in Olchovo, Russia and immigrated to America in 1914.[1] He began writing in Russian before switching to Yiddish around 1916.[2] In 1934, Abraham Aaron Roback described him and Baruch Glasman, as the two best young Yiddish writers working at that time.[3]
