Olivier Murad (born Queens, NY December 21, 1993) is currently among the top amateur mixed martial artists around the world , aiming to be the top elite fighter around the world with high expectations with his plans of entrepreneurship. Destined to overstep uncommon echelons is the current #1 ranked Amateur MMA fighter and Featherweight(145lb) Champion of Fight Time Promotions in Florida, who looking to add of achievements to accomplishments in competition and business.

Background

Olivier Murad is the second of three children. Upon entering the third grade, his family moved to Miami, Florida in order to avoid a difficult school environment. Olivier first became exposed to business and wrestling in the seventh grade; he attended Hammocks Middle School where he found a love for the sport that would play a major role in his future with big dreams of an Olympic Gold Medal at such a young age. He continued to compete in wrestling throughout middle school and high school where he attended Felix Varela Senior High School, his merits in the sport gave him the opportunity to attend Waubonsee Community College in Sugargrove, Illinois where he received a scholarship. Olivier found that the school was very welcoming and he felt very comfortable attending the school, the residential area however was a different case. Olivier felt that he was being discriminated against. Due to this discrimination, he felt that it was best if he eventually returned to Miami for permanent residence where dedication for MMA began to unfold.

Early Life

During his junior year of high school in 2010, Olivier came across a UFC fight where he witnessed Georges St.-Pierre fight Matt Serra in an attempt to regain his belt. In a moment of inspiration, Olivier was naturally drawn in and saw a future for himself in the sport. He began to seek out a place to train in the sport and in doing so, he came across American Top Team during the summer of 2010 where he met one of the founders of the team, Marcus “Conan” Silvera.

Career

Olivier would not fully immerse himself in the sport until 2013 where he finally made his permanent residence in Miami, Florida; with this decision, he met his head mentor Manuel Lopez and freestyle bronze medalist Alexis Vila who played a large role in his training. Olivier would experience his first fight in February of 2014 where he would emerge victorious and continue his first year of amateur MMA fighting with an undefeated record of six wins and zero losses. Currently Olivier Murad is attending Miami Dade College seeking a degree in Business with a minor in psychology as well as a future in MMA he hopes to one day retire his mother as well as fight and claim a tittle in the UFC.
