PAW PAW FRUIT

The pawpaw is an oval or round fruit that grows in warm climate areas^[1].It takes about one to one and a half years to grow to maturity. It is taken ripe without the skin or seeds. It takes between 4-6 days to ripen and turns yellow-red when ripe.^[2]

Uses of paw paws[edit]

- It can be used to make juice or as a dessert.
- Ripe Paw paws aid in digestion
- They can also be used as a detox
- The black paw paw seeds can be crushed and given to poultry as an antibacterial
- Boiled paw paw leaves can be used to treat malaria
