Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Urban Airship may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. Reviewer granted

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on pages protected by pending changes. The list of articles awaiting review is located at Special:PendingChanges, while the list of articles that have pending changes protection turned on is located at Special:StablePages.

Being granted reviewer rights neither grants you status nor changes how you can edit articles. If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time.

Your acceptance of changes on Kuwait

Hi, I noticed you accepted the changes that Mobashernews made to the Kuwait article. I've reverted all those changes, primarily because the first update already had a potential conflict of interest tag and upon exploration, the citations used were a) pointed to a website for Mobasher News (same name as the editor) and b) were in Arabic. We try for English citations on the wiki. I just wanted to let you know why I contravened your acceptance of the edits. Any quesitons, let me know. Thanks! Vertium When all is said and done 00:30, 1 September 2014 (UTC)

Hi Vertium. Let me review what I accepted again and get back to you... ~Oshwah~ (talk) (contribs) 00:34, 1 September 2014 (UTC)
Hi Vertium. Per the guidelines in WP:REVIEWER, I accepted the changes due to the fact that I didn't have enough evidence to show obvious vandalism or an obvious violation of other policy (please correct me if I missed something). Seeing that the tag you mentioned was in the previous edit summary, I think your reversion to my review decision is completely justified. Thank you for bringing this to my attention - It's a pleasure to meet you, by the way :-) ~Oshwah~ (talk) (contribs) 00:43, 1 September 2014 (UTC)
Vertium, on a side note: I believe that the article issue you raised should be evaluated. Keep in mind that per this policy, as well as this one, state that sources do not have to be in English. Although they are preferred, the fact that sources are not in English is not enough to weigh the content as unreliable. Just sending you an FYI. Again, I appreciate you for opening this discussion. ~Oshwah~ (talk) (contribs) 00:51, 1 September 2014 (UTC)
I almost missed the tag myself, but noticed it at the last second. I agree that being in Arabic isn't alone sufficient (which is why I said we "try for English", but with the editor being the same as the source, it seemed fishy. Thanks for understanding, and nice to meet you too. Have a great Labor Day! Vertium When all is said and done 02:11, 1 September 2014 (UTC)
Vertium, you as well! Again, thanks for catching that COI tag. I missed that myself. Keep rockin' it! ~Oshwah~ (talk) (contribs) 02:55, 1 September 2014 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Adaptive performance, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Stress, Diversity and Taxonomy. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Julius Eastman

I just made a change to the Julius Eastman page. I corrected an error on the composers page. There is a recording of him actually contradicting something that is on the wikipedia page. You deleted the change. With five minutes of research the changed I made will be justified.

Watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E2XtFZMpwm0

And listen to this piece: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_QGQcKq1ik

The wikipedia page claims that the above work is for four pianos. It is actually for unspecified instruments. Julius Eastman himself states that clearly in the previous video I provided.

I appreciate you vetting my post, but consider putting my correction back into the page. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 107.181.219.148 (talk) 03:04, 1 October 2014 (UTC)

Re: Edit Reversion

Hello, thanks, but it seems that we edited over the top of each other while trying to fix that mistake of mine! How on earth did you find it so quickly? Graham87 03:08, 1 October 2014 (UTC)

Hi Graham87. I just realized that I never responded to your message. Many apologies. The tool I use is a combination of different ones. I use Lupin's Tool to help filter recent changes, and Twinkle to post warnings when I revert something. It was great to meet you. Keep rockin' it! ~Oshwah~ (talk) (contribs) 03:54, 27 October 2014 (UTC)

AWB

I'm sorry that it took so long for someone to issue a decision on your AWB request - this delay is truly unacceptable. Unfortunately, I have denied the request for now - please feel free to request it again later. – Philosopher Let us reason together. 15:25, 23 October 2014 (UTC)

Hi, Philosopher. It's no problem at all. We all have personal lives and jobs outside of Wikipedia. I didn't expect someone to jump on something as low priority as giving me access to a tool compared to addressing the countless other issues going on right now. I haven't had time to write new articles in some time, and I understand the decision - better to be safe than sorry. I'll re-apply when I get around to addressing the issues. Thanks again for the time, and it was great to meet you. ~Oshwah~ (talk) (contribs) 03:43, 27 October 2014 (UTC)

Pending Changes

Hi Oshwah, please ensure you don't approve pending changes that add unsourced biographical data to BLPs as you did here; I configured pending changes on this article specifically to avoid such unsupported changes. Thank you, --Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 23:20, 12 November 2014 (UTC)

Hi, Ponyo. Whoops! My mistake! It seemed like a minor edit, but you're absolutely correct with regards to the policy regarding BLPs; I'll be more diligent with what BLP content gets accepted in the future. Thank you for messaging me and pointing this matter out. I really appreciate it. Nice to meet you, by the way! ~Oshwah~ (talk) (contribs) 23:45, 12 November 2014 (UTC)
Thanks Oshwah. I know it can all become a blur when doing pending changes reviews, especially when the edit doesn't seem particularly harmful. Thanks for all of the work you do here! --Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 00:01, 13 November 2014 (UTC)

Hello!

Hi, Oshwah! I'm sorry for those edits I did. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wii22 (talkcontribs) 01:43, 19 November 2014 (UTC)

Hey Oshwah! Looking at requested renaming of filenames, I seen you updated the {{rename media}} template with 'Canon Liddon Portrait'. Do you have a link that suggests the subject in the file is him? I tried searching him, the photographer and the image itself and seen many other results. Best, --///EuroCarGT 01:50, 19 November 2014 (UTC)

Hi, EuroCarGT. Looking for the sources for you revealed that I copied the wrong name. This person actually appears to be 'Benson John Lossing'. I've updated the image rename template to the correct name. My apologies. The sources I found are here and here. I hope this helps. Nice to meet you, by the way! ~Oshwah~ (talk) (contribs) 02:00, 19 November 2014 (UTC)

ACC tool access request approved

Oshwah, thank you for your interest in the account creation process. I have verified that you are identified to the Wikimedia Foundation and approved your request.

You may now access the interface here pending a tool root marking your account as identified in the tool database. Before you begin handling requests, please ensure you have read and understood the account creation guide and username policy to familiarise yourself with the process.

Please subscribe yourself to the private ACC mailing list following the instructions on that page. I also advise that you also join us on IRC #wikipedia-en-accounts connect where a bot informs us when new account requests come in and you can get real time advice on how to handle requests.

Please note failure to correctly assess requests will result in suspension of tool access. Account creation is not a race, and each one should be handled diligently and thoroughly. Releasing personally identifying information (such as IP and email addresses), whether intentionally or unintentionally, is treated very seriously and will generally result in immediate suspension.

Currently you are allowed to create up to six accounts per day, and you won't be able to create an account with a similar name to that of another user; these requests are marked as "Flagged user needed" on the interface. However, if you reach the limit frequently, you can request the account creator permission at WP:PERM/ACC.

Please don't hesitate to get in touch with me if you have any questions. Thank you for participating in the account creation process. Again welcome!  FunPika 15:41, 22 November 2014 (UTC)

WP:PERM Request

After reviewing your request for the account creator right, I have enabled the flag on your account. Keep in mind these things:

  • The account creator right removes the limit on the maximum number of new accounts that can be created in a 24-hour period.
  • The account creator right is not a status symbol. If it remains unused, it is likely to be removed. Abuse of the account creator right will result in its removal by an administrator.

If you no longer require the right, let me know, or ask any other administrator. Drop a note if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of the account creator right. Happy editing! — xaosflux Talk 17:16, 29 November 2014 (UTC)

If you're receiving warnings that were not from you, you should create an account and edit under that account. Also, please add new talk page discussions on the bottom with your own subject and message, or click the URL at the top of the page to leave a message. This keeps all messages in chronological order.
