Atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki[edit]

Theory of deliberate choice to destroy Catholic population[edit]

According to Michael Dimond of Most Holy Family Monastery, the reason for the target cities was because Harry Truman, a Freemason, wanted to drop the bomb on the 33rd degree parallel (the 33rd latitude going through the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki) because of strong fascination with the number 33 by the Freemasons, as well as to kill a large population of Japanese Catholics, since the two cities were where the two largest population of Catholic were. Most Holy Family Monastery[edit]

Most Holy Family Monastery is a non-profit sedevacantist organization run by Michael Dimond.

It was found in 1967 by a self-proclaimed Benedictine monk named Joseph Natale (born 1933), originally as a community for handicapped men. Natale entered the Benedictine Archabbey in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, in 1960 as a lay postulant, but left less than a year later to start his own Holy Family Monastery. According to an archivist of the Saint Vincent Archabbey in Latrobe, Natale left before taking vows; he never actually became a Benedictine monk.[10]

Natale claimed that he had the gift of prophecy:

"Even before Vatican II was finished, I knew, and knew absolutely, that it was part of a communist conspiracy to destroy the Church. The bishops at the council wanted to democratize Catholicism, they wanted an egalitarian theology, and most of them were secret communists and Masons. They knew exactly what they were doing. My community here was the first one in the United States to see the council for what it really was, and we rejected it completely."

"Regardless of what you have been told, John Paul I did not die of natural causes. He was murdered. Shortly after his election I went into a kind of trance and was told that John Paul I would be murdered because he wanted to return the Church to its traditions. He was murdered by his own. The communist infiltrators in the Vatican and the College of Cardinals, working together with the Masons, killed John Paul I. At the same time I also had a vision of John Paul II, and I was told that he would be the next pope and also that he would be an authentic pope, even though most of his actions would be controlled by communist advisers and manipulators in the Vatican."

"Five years [from 1994] is about all the time the world has left."[11]

Throughout the late 60's and early 70's, Natale denounced the Second Vatican Council and the new Mass, and by the mid-70's the community had become separate from the Conciliar Church. By mid-80's, there were ten monks in it, but by 1994 the number went down to three. Shortly after a conference in 1994, John Vennari left to work for Fr. Nicholas Gruner.

Natale died in 1995, and Michael Dimond was elected the Superior.

Natale himself was never a sedevacantist, although his successor Michael (official name Frederick[12] ) Dimond turned to that position in 1998 or 1999, after he have kicked out one of the members of MHFM, Richard Ibranyi, in 1997, for being a sedevacantist. Shortly after, Frederick's biological brother Peter Dimond (official name Robert[13]) joined the monastery. [14]

Purpose and Activities[edit]

Dimond wrote regarding his enterprise that there purpose is:

  • Educating people about what they must know and do in order to save their souls
  • educating Catholics about the true dogmas of the Church and condemning the heresies that are rampant today.
  • Exposing the counterfeit Catholic Church of the Vatican II sect which is deceiving millions of those who profess to be Catholic.

He has distributed almost 1 million copies of our videos, audios, DVDs and books.

He teaches:

  • the necessity of prayer;
  • the eternity and pains of Hell;
  • the shortness of life;
  • miraculous conversion stories;
  • the authenticity of Sacred Scripture;
  • the special creation of the earth;
  • the refutation of the theory of evolution;
  • the miracles and marvels of the Catholic saints;
  • the importance of the message of Our Lady of Fatima;
  • the authenticity of the Shroud of Turin;
  • the Communist and Freemasonic plot against the Catholic Church;
  • the evils of Rock Music; the false and invalid New Mass;
  • the false Second Vatican Council;
  • the false Vatican II antipopes;
  • the dogma outside the Church there is no salvation
  • the efficacy of the Rosary

[15]

Positions on various religious issues[edit]

Some of Dimond's positions include:

  • The belief that people can be saved in invincible ignorance of the Catholic religion is outright heresy, and Baptism of Desire/Blood is heresy for those who have seen the evidence provided by them (Justification/Salvation by Desire alone is Heresy),[16] See EENS
  • John Paul II is The Antichrist,[17]
  • Post Vatican II hierarchy is the Whore of Babylon in the Apocalypse,[18]
  • The Vatican II popes are antipopes (From John XXIII to Benedict XVI) (Sedevacantism)[19]
  • Natural Family Planning is sinful birth control,[20]
  • The New Mass is the Abomination of Desolation - and the First Four Vatican II Antipopes parallel the Four False High Priests at the time of the Abomination of Desolation in the Machabees,[21]
  • Co-Redeemer (Co-Redemptrix) is not a fit title for Our Lady,[22]
  • The Consecration of Russia has as requested by Our Lady of Fatima has been already done by Pius XII, although the pope didn't do it with all the bishops of the world, and that the conversion of Russia means that Russia will be converted from its evil actions to not doing evil actions (instead of converting to Catholicism, as is most commonly thought).[23]

Influence[edit]

Dimond advertises his website for a vast amount of keywords via Google Ads. His website has #1 ranking among the list of Catholic sites not in communion with Rome in Alexa.[24] He does not work with any other groups, although for a time he supported Gerry Matatics.[25]

Religious Practices[edit]

The group prays the whole Rosary everyday (15 decades), prays a few prayers to certain saints such as St. Benedict and St. Therese.

Because none of them were ever ordained, and they believe that the New Mass is invalid and a false worship, they receive the sacraments from a Byzantine rite Catholic Church that is in communion with Benedict XVI, in Rochester, New York, in layman's clothes. [26] Peter Dimond wrote: "In receiving the sacraments from certain Byzantine priests for over the last decade – i.e. from priests who are not notorious or imposing about their heresies - I've received what I consider to be tremendous spiritual graces." [27]

Criticism[edit]

  • Perhaps the most criticized position of Dimond is his rejection of Baptism of Desire and Blood. The Dimond group is one of the very few who holds that justification cannot happen without baptism of water, his conclusive evidence being a certain passage in a dogmatic Letter to Flavian by Pope St. Leo the Great. The group that comes closest to this position is the Father Leonard Feeney adherents, who also reject Baptism of Desire and Baptism of Blood but hold that justification can happen before baptism. The Conciliar Church accepts this view as allowable but most traditionalists hold it to be near heresy if not actual heresy.
  • The Dimond brothers believe that some post-age-of-reason, self-professed Protestant children are actually Catholics because they did not obstinately deny any dogma, while holding the core dogmas of the Trinity and Incarnation, and hence can be saved. [28]
  • Many are dumbfounded by Dimond's claim that John Paul II is the Antichrist, because it is widely believed that the Antichrist would rule over the world for three and half years, which John Paul II didn't.
  • Patrick Pollock, a traditionalist, criticized Dimond for selling his "101 Heresies of John Paul II" despite his explicit disapproval, as late as December 2007.[29] Dimond does not sell it anymore.

Former members[edit]

Recent defectors[edit]

  • "Edmund" Eric Hoyle: The technical producer for the audio programs and English-to-Spanish translator.[30] He also moderated the Sedevacantism debate the Dimonds had with William Golle. After leaving with two others, he sued Frederick (Michael) and Robert (Peter) Dimond. [31]
  • Joseph Myers: a Protestant convert who claimed to have heard angels sing when he arrived at the Most Holy Family Monastery. He left together with Hoyle. [32]

It focuses only on the destruction in NYC: the destruction of the twin towers of the World Trade Center and the destruction of World Trade Center 7 (“Building 7”). This film provides overwhelming evidence that the towers were destroyed by controlled demolition and explosives. This film is absolutely worth downloading; it is a stunning and thorough demolition of popular myths about what happened on 9/11. People need to see the facts in this film. Most Holy Family Monastery[edit]

Most Holy Family Monastery is a non-profit religious organization run by Michael Dimond, [1] who holds that anybody can start a monastery in modern times without a permission by epikeia.

Dimond was raised in a family with no religion. He entered Most Holy Family Monastery in 1992, at the age of 19, in Berlin, NJ, under the headship of Joseph Natale. Joseph Natale died in 1995, which left Dimond, John Vennari, a traditional priest, and another person.

Dimond moved to Fillmore, New York, in 1995, his new monastery consisting of modular buildings in a huge piece of land which was donated to Natale, and apparently it was there that he invited his brother Peter Dimond to join the monastery.

Purpose and Activities[edit]

Dimond wrote regarding his enterprise:

As is obvious from our website, our community is heavily involved with educating people about what they must know and do in order to save their souls, which is the most important work of charity with which anyone could be involved. "Without faith it is impossible to please God" (Heb. 11:6). And without the Catholic faith it is impossible to be saved. Therefore, our work as Catholic Benedictine monks – especially in this time of the great apostasy – necessarily involves educating Catholics about the true dogmas of the Church and condemning the heresies that are rampant today. Our work also deeply involves exposing the counterfeit Catholic Church of the Vatican II sect, which is deceiving millions of those who profess to be Catholic. This counterfeit Vatican II sect – with its antipopes – is the primary enemy of Jesus Christ today. It is most dangerous for the salvation of souls because it purports to be the Catholic Church but it is not. This is why we dedicate much effort to exposing it.

We also work and pray for the salvation of all non-Catholics, producing and distributing mass quantities of information with the goal of converting them to the one true faith, outside of which no one can be saved. In our apostolic work (called an "apostolate"), we have distributed almost 1 million copies of our videos, audios, DVDs and books. The material that we have distributed and continue to distribute covers a wide variety of topics that are essential, including (to name a few): the necessity of prayer; the eternity and pains of Hell; the shortness of life; miraculous conversion stories; the authenticity of Sacred Scripture; the special creation of the earth; the refutation of the theory of evolution; the miracles and marvels of the Catholic saints; the importance of the message of Fatima; the authenticity of the Shroud of Turin; the Communist and Freemasonic plot against the Catholic Church; the evils of Rock Music; the false and invalid New Mass; the false Second Vatican Council; the false Vatican II antipopes; the dogma outside the Church there is no salvation; and many others.

We also have spoken personally to thousands concerning the true Catholic faith and a person's obligation to profess it.

Our Community is dedicated first and foremost to Jesus Christ, our Savior, and the worship of the Most Holy Trinity (Father, Son and Holy Ghost)– the One True God – and the profession of the Catholic faith whole and inviolate. Secondly, our Community is deeply dedicated to the promotion of the Holy Rosary as the primary private devotion for a Catholic. Just as without the faith it is impossible to please God, so it is true that without a strong prayer life it is impossible to be saved. We especially promote the 15 decade Rosary, which the monks recite each day. We believe that the 15 decade Rosary is the key to the salvation of many souls and we encourage everyone to attempt to say it and promote it to others. The monks have personally witnessed the incredible transformation in the lives of many people through the 15 decade Rosary. The power of the Holy Rosary is truly amazing, and God has revealed that He has conferred even more efficacy upon the Holy Rosary in our dark days. St. Louis De Montfort recommends one set of mysteries at three different times in the day as an effective way to say the entire Rosary each day. We believe that the salvation of millions of souls hinges upon the practice of a true devotion to the Mother of God and the necessary foundation of a pure profession of the true Catholic faith.

In addition to the above, our community practices (and encourages others to practice) devotion to saints, not only by getting to know their extraordinary devotion to God by learning about their lives, but also by praying to them to intercede with God for us. We have posted on our website a few prayers to saints that we recommend (and we plan to add more). At Most Holy Family Monastery we recite at least one prayer each day to St. Benedict (our founder), St. Therese of Lisieux, St. Michael the Archangel, Jacinta the shepherdess of Fatima, St. Joseph, and St. Jude. [2]

Gerry Matatics[edit]

Gerry Matatics is a Roman Catholic Sedevacantist apologist for what he calls "consistent Catholicism" as opposed to "counterfeit [mainstream] Catholicism". Prior to his conversion to Catholicism, he was an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). He used to work for the influential apologist Karl Keating as part of his Catholic Answers apologist team.

Matatics graduated from Phillips Exeter Academy. He earned his B.A. from the University of New Hampshire, where he majored in Classical, New Testament, and Patristic Greek, graduating Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude. He received a M.Div. from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Matatics studied for a Ph.D. in Biblical Interpretation from Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, and has taken graduate courses in Sacred Scripture at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary.

While a Protestant, Matatics spent three years researching Catholicism in an attempt to prevent his friend, former seminary classmate, and fellow Presbyterian minister Scott Hahn (who wrote a popular book named Rome sweet Home and mentioned Gerry in it[13]) from embracing it. Convinced by his studies that Catholicism is the only legitimate form of Christianity, Matatics converted, becoming the first PCA minister to convert to Catholicism.

While he originally recognized the post-conciliar popes (John XXIII, Paul VI, John Paul I, John Paul II, Benedict XVI), he eventually came to the conclusion that they had lost their papal authority by virtue of being (as sedevacantist Catholics see them) "manifest heretics." Matatics rejects as "counterfeit Catholicism" the doctrinal and liturgical changes in the Church as promulgated by Vatican II.

Gerry is Founder, President and the only member of Biblical Foundations International, an apostolate that attempts to demonstrate to both Catholics and non-Catholics the scriptural case for Catholicism and criticizes the post-Vatican II Church. He has lectured throughout the US as well as in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, England, France, Monaco, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Germany, and the Czech Republic.

Matatics has taught as a professor in Westminster Theological Seminary, St. Joseph's University, the University of San Diego, the Notre Dame Pontifical Catechetical Institute, Aquinas College, and Christendom College, and served for three years as Professor of Sacred Scripture and Apologetics at Our Lady of Guadalupe International Seminary of the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter in Scranton, Pennsylvania, before becoming fully traditional in his Catholic Faith. Gerry and his wife Leslie homeschool their 9 children, ages 25 to 5.
