Wana Miskinyar is a famous Afghan Television Icon Wana's Music TV is a television show aired live on Ariana Afghanistan International Television based out of Orange County, CA. The network is one of the largest Afghan Networks in the world, and was the first Afghan Network to launch outside of Afghanistan 30 years ago, the network went International in 2005 with over 75 million viewers world wide.The show Wana's Music TV features popular music Videos and is hosted by Wana Miskinyar, daughter of CEO of the network, Nabil Miskinyar. Afghan Music TV is AATV'S prime outlet for music videos as the network continues to concentrate on reality based programs that educate the youth of the Afghan/Persian community. In addition to music videos, the show features weekly guests, Music Trivia, and top videos of the week. The show is a popular promotion tool used by musicians, businesses and other celebrities to promote their newest works to the show's target young audience.

The show started out by playing the Ten most requested videos of the week, as requested by viewers who voted online for their favorite video. The countdown started with the tenth most requested video and ended with the most requested. As of Aug 22, 2007, The shows countdown was based on votes, charts, social media and online voting. The show generally airs Fridays at 8:30 pm (PST) for two hours, though the scheduling and length of the show fluctuated over the years. 99% of the shows are aired LIVE.
