Jeev Vichar

The Pannavana Sutra and Jeeväbhigam Sutra explain deeply the meaning of Jeev (living beings). This scripture consists of 50 shloks (couplets) written in Präkrit language.

Basically living beings (Jeev) are of two types:

a) Liberated Soul (Mukt)

b) Non Liberated Soul (Sansaari)

a) Liberated Soul (Mukt Jeev/Siddh Jeev)

The living beings that are free from the cycle of birth and death and are free from all eight karmas are called liberated souls (MuktJeev/Siddh Jeev).

b) Non Liberated Soul ( Sansaari Jeev)

The living beings that are going through the cycle of birth and death and are not free from any karmic bondages are called non-liberated souls (Sansaari Jeev).
