Comment from User:Panini!

[edit]

I believe that the table that User:Googleguy007 stubbed their toe on should be banned indefinitely. This act of stubbing is a clear personal attack against the user and harmful intent was obviously in play. User:The Table has frequently patrolled Googleguy007's talk pgae and has frequently made threatening remarks to their edits and opinions. The Table stubbing Googleguy should be obvious proof that they are indeed WP:NOTHERE. Panini! 🥪 23:23, 16 August 2023 (UTC)

Comment from User:The Table

[edit]

Googleguy007 did stub their toe on me, but only in accident. This was in no wise a breach of policy. Really, I'm appalled at the combative behaviour I see here, although I expect no better from the CESSPIT! I am not harassing anyone; and, as the esteemed Nosebagbear noted, I have an excellent history of holding coffee, as well as tea and hot chocolate. I invite you to inspect my fine woodwork, which was dented by the aforementioned toe-stubbing incident. Regards, The Tablecontribs; t a l k to me! 00:59, 25 August 2023 (UTC)

Oppose ban

Oppose and consider WP:BOOMERANG - Panini! has provided no diffs to support these accusations. Although it is true that Googleguy007 stubbed their toe on The Table, it is not clear how this is in violation of Wikipedia policy or is disruptive to the encyclopedia. casualdejekyll 02:30, 17 August 2023 (UTC)
Also, Googleguy's user talk pgae appears to have negative comments from editors that are not The Table - are you confused? casualdejekyll 02:34, 17 August 2023 (UTC)
I'm confused on a regular basis but I only express it off-wiki. The Table is obviously harassing Googleguy through means of various sockpuppets and IP hopping. I would know, I've watched them do it. Panini! 🥪 18:37, 17 August 2023 (UTC)
  • While some action should be taken against @The Table, it is pretty clear in my view that it was in part an accident on the part of that user. Furthermore, I believe Panini! may have goaded Table into attacking Googleguy007 by calling the Table nothing more than a jumped-up coffee table. I suggest sanctions against both. Also per casualdejekyll. Edward-Woodrow :) [talk] 14:40, 17 August 2023 (UTC)

Neutral

[edit]
  • This feels like a textbook case of preferring to trouting two productive users rather than move for a 2-way IBAN. I mean, one has been editing for more than 2 years and the other has a stirling history of holding coffee effectively (indeed, even noted by OP for this skill). In the event of further issues we can reconsider an IBAN. Nosebagbear (talk) 07:49, 19 August 2023 (UTC)
    • Per Stirling#History, "Unsurprisingly excise men were installed in a covered booth in the centre of the bridge to collect tax from any entering the royal burgh with goods." Is The Table associated with these unsurprisingly excise men? casualdejekyll 20:56, 19 August 2023 (UTC)
