Patelurology2/Dharmendrasinhji Lakhajirajsinhji born 1910 and educated at the Rajkumar College in Rajkot and Highgate Public School, Middlesex, England. Succeeded his father Lakhajirajsinhji II Bavajirajsinhji of Rajkot State in February,1930, and reigned till 1940 when died during an encounter with a lion in the Gir forest. He was succeeded by his younger brother Pradyumansinhji Lakhajirajsinhji.

     The premier college in Rajkot was named for him as  Dharmendrasinhji Arts College, Rajkot.
