Primary Sources are not only accepted, they are often the best source available for certain claims such as a subject's date-of-birth or where a company is headquartered. However, no article should be reliant on primary sources - that means that if you take out all of the primary sources and every statement attributed to them, there should still be an article.
As a bare minimum, there should be at least twice as many secondary sources as primary ones - preferably more.
