Hello World,
My name is Perry J. Gibson, Sr.
I am an Afro-American citizen. I was born June 19, 1938 in the state of Louisiana, in West Carrol Parrish about seven miles south and east of the little town of Pioneer, Louisiana. My mother and father lived alone. On the night that I was born my mother went into labor and my father had to ride his mule to pioneer to get the Mid-wife. When they returned my mother had already given birth to me. I like to say the LORD delivered me from my mother's womb. He has delivered me from many troubling situations all my eighty six years of life.
I am so glad to be given the opportunity to learn to edit articles on Wikipedia. I am sure it will allow me to improve my knowledge and writing skills. I am very grateful for the service that Wikipedia gives to the world. I have visited Wikipedia many times since I discovered them over 25 years ago.
Over 25 years ago, my father and I were sitting at the kitchen table in my home, and he looked at me directly and spoke these words "You oughta write a book." Well all that time has passed and now I am launching 'out into the deep' and engaged in the writing of my first book. In fact I am working on three different projects. If GOD wills you shall be hearing about me in the near future. The only book I am revealing prior to publication is my autobiography. I am so glad to be writing it.
I have so much to be grateful for. I thank and praise god every day. I love everybody as much as I can and I seek to learn to love GOD with as Jesus said " "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment." (Mark 12:30 KJV). To learn to love GOD like that is truly my heart's desire. Then He said in (Mark 12:31 KJV) "And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these."
I have agonized much over the importance of these two commandments to know in my heart that I am in harmony with them. I am grateful to know that GOD can make it possible for me to be able to do it.
Well I guess this is enough rambling for an old geezer to be doing at a first meet so I will say good-by for now.
Your servant, Perry J. Gibson, Sr.
