Peter Bereta is a career banker with 7 years banking experience gained in ICT markets. He started his career in 1999 with Nedbank, South Africa, where he worked for two years prior to going to the DBSA for further 2 more years. He then, joined Small Enterprise Finance Agency, where he worked in SMMEs for 4 years. After gaining a valuable experience and knowledge in Infrastructure and Replacement funding models, he later moved to YUM! Brands International as Head of Technology responsible for Africa development.

In 2008 he joined SADC emerging bank, Bank Gaborone based in the neighbouring country, Botswana as an IT Executive responsible for leadership and providing with vision to Technology business unit. During that time he was seconded to and spent 2 years in the bank’s Botswana operations and other SADC markets. He was on statutory reporting for Deloitte and an In-Country Manager. On his return back to his native land in 2010, Peter formed Mothetho Holding and was blessed with a financial injection from Financial Institutions through his MBA determination and passion for business development and job creation mission.

He then joined Barclays Bank Africa Technology as an Infrastructure & Telecommunications Architect for a year project and delivered African infrastructure projects. In February 2013, Peter Bereta joined a newly established IDL International as Head of Technology.
