My name is Peter Haslehurst, I live in Oxford, and I am currently a PhD student at University College London, though I am actually based in the Nigel Emptage at Oxford University. I use glutamate uncaging and confocal imaging to explore plasticity at individual dendritic spines. I'm 54 years old. In 2007 I left a sensible job at IBM to do a MSc in Neuroscience. I would like to make a new career as a research scientist. See my blog at This Is Spine LTP.

My biggest hobby is boardgaming.

I am a member of Wood Green Mennonite Church.

I'm just starting to contribute stuff to Wikipedia , for example see the article on Barrel cortex.
