LonelyTrainHome

« LonelyTrainHome » is a pop/rap musical artist based in Montreal, Quebec. She portrays her emotions and every waking thought in her music. Her first ever release was a rap freestyle called « Made in Heaven » and was released August 18th, 2023. The single is notorious for its fast paced beat, and LonelyTrainHome’s flow. It’s a musical roller coaster; sampling Brazilian soccer player Richarlison de Andrade’s incredible World Cup goal to having a deep and aggressive bass, to a rock type beat with a heavy metal guitar and drums. Lyrically; there’s no continuity, it wouldn’t really be a freestyle if there was. LonelyTrainHome takes a more comedic side of rap than a serious one, rather than talking about her experience in life and hardships she goes on to explain why you can’t call people gay and breaking bread with autistic people. Her lyrical genius does show at the end of the song after the bridge, the lyrics being:

“The downfall of man, he’ll yeah it was all planned Don’t discover too much Or you’ll get the bloody hand What they don’t want us to know Yeah I’ll tell you all right now it’s- Censorship is enterprise Nothing in life will ever be a surprise Cause if it’s made in heaven our fate is decided So really everyone knows what I did,”

“Get with it or get out the decision is yours The corporations have us like dogs walking on all fours Like a red pill or a blue, which one is for you? I’ve already made my choice, so what will you do?”

These lyrics are a bit a play on modern Hollywood; we won’t go in deeper than this.

LonelyTrainHome released her first EP September 2nd, 2023 titled “Detox” with 6 songs on it; (in order)Party Party Go Go!, Intoxicating, Queen Elizabeth II, Shouldn’t Be!, Country Music Star, and , im uncomfy. This album showcases her [LonelyTrainHome] vocal prowess, especially in “Intoxicating” and “Shouldn't Be!”.The album has one theme, ridding yourself of toxins surrounding you and your life by doing what you want. The album also explores LonelyTrainHome’s mental health and illness, touching lightly on her bipolar diagnosis and schizophrenia. None of the songs really go hand in hand because of the impulsivity in which it was released by, but at the same time, they all really compliment each other in different ways. Her most popular song on the EP is “Country Music Star”. The song talks about her changing her entire music career and genre to country. The lyrics take on a cliché and cheesy country style, expressing how LonelyTrainHome is only good at some things, but it’s not good enough. She even talks directly about the impulsive decision to make this leap into country with the lyrics

“Was a rapper for a week now I’m a country music star My therapist says it’s cause I’m bipolar”

Overall, the EP doesn’t have the most serious tone or mood, but LonelyTrainHome’s incredible lyricism and sound makes it ten times more enjoyable for listeners.
