Karmel Mall is a mall focused on Somali American products and culture in the Whittier neighborhood of Minneapolis, Minnesota. The mall has over 100 shops and services inside as well as one of the largest mosques in Minneapolis and the only Muslim prayer space dedicated to women. Karmel was the first Somali mall in the United States and remains the largest. Karmel Mall is also sometimes referred to by the names of its two buildings: Karmel Square and Karmel Plaza.[1]

Vendors sell a variety of products and services of interest to Somali and East African immigrants. Textiles and clothing are in Muslim styles for men and women, including many types of hijab and other veils such as abayas and diracs.[2] A branch of local community bank Franklin National Bank of Minneapolis, part of Sunrise Banks, offers interest free products in accordance with Muslim religious restrictions.[3]

Karmel Mall is frequently recommended in tourism guides for shopping and cultural experiences.
